We will be more than happy to accept any (see bottom of page) submissions you have. However, we do not accept unsolicited screenplays. Please submit a cover letter and short synopsis (or treatment), either by mail, fax, or email, and if we are interested in taking the next step with your script, we will forward a release form to you. All scripts MUST be accompanied by a signed release, or they will be discarded unread. What are we looking for? Story, story, story. It goes without saying (or at least it should) that every story needs a beginning, a middle and an end. That doesn't mean, of course, that they need necessarily go in that order ("Pulp Fiction" anyone?) but there must be something cohesive there, or it won't be of interest to us. All we ask for is characters we care about (notice we didn't say "like,") and some intelligent writing. Finally, please make sure your script is properly formatted. If you don't know what proper format looks like, please find out (or download a script formatting template here) before you send your script to us. Have we scared you yet? Hope not, because we would really like to see your work! Also, don't be discouraged, we do accept other medium. We'll take the following into consideration: Screenplays, Ideas, Original Scores (format:mp3 or analog tape), and fresh fruit. Here's where to send it. --------------- To submit material, please send a query letter, along with a treatment or synopsis, and a self-addressed, stamped business-size envelope, to: Dependent Films If you prefer to e-mail your query and treatment/synopsis: dfnet79 @ dependentfilms.net
