Sample Script Acquisition Contract
                      Collaboration Agreement


I, [WRITER], on [DATE], do agree to sell to [FULLNAME]
(hereinafter referred to as "[NAME]") the option to my writing,
[SCRIPT], for production into a motion picture film.  [WRITER]
further certifies that he/she has not entered into any other such
agreement with any other party that will infringe upon the rights
hereto granted to [NAME] by the terms of this agreement.  [WRITER]
also acknowledges as fact that, until setting his/her pen to this
agreement, that he/she controls the full rights to [SCRIPT] and
does not share control or obligation with any other party.
[WRITER] agrees that the final script used in the production of
the film will be a collaboration between [NAME] and himself, with
[NAME] exercising final editing rights.  The title credit that
will appear in the film shall read "Screenplay by [WRITER] AND
[NAME]," and it is further agreed upon that a separate credit in
the film shall read "Original story by [WRITER]."

[NAME] agrees to pay $[AMOUNT1] per year for [NUMBER] years for
this option and $[AMOUNT2] after principal photography is
completed as a salary for the scripting.  After the $[AMOUNT2]
payment, the option payments of $[AMOUNT1] per year will
terminate.  If principal photography is not completed within
[NUMBER] years from [DATE], full rights to [SCRIPT] revert to
[WRITER].  If the final budget for the film exceeds $[AMOUNT3],
then [NAME] agrees to pay [WRITER] ___% of the total budget up to
a total of $[MAXIMUM] for his writing and scripting.

[NAME], with his/her signature below, also agrees to pay [WRITER]
___% of the profits above expenses for his services of writing and
scripting of the film (if [NAME] is the producer), an amount not
to exceed $[MAXIMUM].  [NAME] and [WRITER] acknowledge that if the
film does not generate a profit above expenses within five years
from the close of production that [NAME] is relieved of any
financial obligation to [WRITER]

It is further understood that with the signatures below, [NAME]
has purchased the right to direct, film, edit, produce, and
promote the film tentatively entitled [TITLE] without any
restriction whatsoever as long as [NAME] fulfills the contractual
obligations agreed hereto.
